- The very first cake I've ever decorated was for my son's 3rd birthday. It was an Elmo cake. It didn't turn out as nice as I had hoped. Then I found out about these Wilton courses at the local school board and I took all 4 of them. I started making cakes for most of my family members. I started this blog because I wanted to keep a record of all the cakes I've made and see if my skills have improved overtime. Some of my friends found out about my hobby and have pushed me to pursue my dreams. I was still hesitant but my hubby gave me the support and confidence that I needed and Bon Gateau was born.
