Lemon Yellow Wedding Cupcake Tower

These yummy lemon yellow cupcakes were the sequel to my Mayan-themed Wedding Shower Cake. Mother of the bride wanted some silver sparkles on them to kick them up a notch. I decided to throw in some fondant daisies with silver dragees to add a touch of elegance too. Very fun indeed.

I made this cake a few months back and one of the party goer was also my client. This time she ordered the same cake but in square. I'm quite happy how to bow turned out this time though.

Prep Work for Vancouver's 1st Cupcake Challenge

Well, now that the challenge is over, I finally have time to sit down and post some of my prep pictures. I made 2 shirts, a total of 800 cupcakes, 4 4-gallon tubs of buttercream, and a decorated cake for door prize for this event, ribboned my cupcake stand and labeled my 50 cupcakes boxes. It was exhausting and fulfilling at the same time. I was up a total of 35 hours and my poor oven was on for close to 20 hours! I think at 1 point it was gonna die on me! LOL

Cars-themed Birthday Cake

Tomorrow is the big day!! Vancouver's 1st Cupcake Challenge will be held down at Yaletown. I've made a couple shirts for my assistant and myself. Turned out quite well!

Vancouver's 1st Cupcake Challenge

I never thought I would be entering a Cupcake Challenge, let alone Vancouver's 1st EVER Cupcake Challenge! I figured this will be a challene for myself and a good chance to test if my products are good enough to compete with the big girls.

Please bring your family and friends out on Father's Day for a fun-filled afternoon. There will be samples from all the competitors and you will get to vote for the People's Choice Awards.
